Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account in an app by DinoMinds, and what happens to the data kept with it. Each app has its own account. Choose yours:

Readino

In the app

  1. Open Readino and tap the Settings gear, then answer the grown-up check.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Without the app

Enter the email address of your Readino account. We’ll email you a link: open it and press Delete my account to confirm. The link works once, for one hour.

Deleting your Readino account deletes the account and its email address, your child’s profile saved to it (name, age, gender and avatar), your child’s reading progress saved to it, the list of devices logged in to it (every device is logged out) and the answers given when signing up on our website. We keep records of payments and subscriptions, made on our website, in the App Store or in Google Play, with the email address they were made with, as long as tax and accounting law requires, no longer linked to an account. Progress kept on your devices stays there until you delete the app from them. Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 30 days, after which it is gone. Stripe (for payments on our website), Apple and Google keep their own records of payments, under their own policies. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play: cancel it there. A plan bought on our website stops renewing when the account is deleted, and stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If you never created a Readino account, the app keeps everything on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. If you gave your email address on our website, the form above deletes what we kept from it too.

DinoPlay Coming soon

DinoPlay, a playroom of toys for children aged 2 to 7, is not released yet. Once it is, this is how to delete your account.

In the app

  1. Open DinoPlay and tap the grown-ups button (two figures in a white circle) in the bottom-right corner of the playroom, then answer the grown-up check.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Without the app

Write to privacy@dinominds.com from the email address of your DinoPlay account and ask us to delete it. We’ll delete it and reply to confirm, within one month at the latest.

Email us to delete a DinoPlay account

Deleting your DinoPlay account deletes the account and its email address, your child’s profile saved to it (name, ages, what they love and what you’d like them to learn), what matters most to your family, your child’s dino avatar, the toys picked for them, the sound and music settings saved to it, the list of devices logged in to it (every device is logged out), its records of store purchases and its login requests. Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 30 days, after which it is gone. Apple and Google keep their own records of payments, under their own policies. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play: cancel it there. Drawings and everything else your child made stay on your device until you delete them in the grown-ups area or delete the app. If you never created a DinoPlay account, the app keeps everything on your device, and deleting the app deletes it.
