Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and DinoMinds (Héctor Ullate) ("we," "us," or "our"), the publisher of apps for young children. They cover our apps for iOS and Android (each an "App"), today Readino and, once it is released, DinoPlay; the website dinominds.com; and our web sign-ups, such as Readino's at get.dinominds.com/readino (together, the "Services"). Where a term applies to only one App, it names that App.
By using the Services, creating an account or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. You must be an adult (18 or older) to accept these Terms, create an account or buy a subscription.
1. License and Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your family's personal, non-commercial use. Our Apps are designed for young children (Readino for ages 3 to 8, DinoPlay for ages 2 to 7), used under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for how the child uses them.
Offline use: once installed and subscribed, an App's content (Readino's lessons, DinoPlay's toys) works without an internet connection. Logging in, keeping your child's progress or setup in sync between devices and buying a subscription need one.
2. Accounts
- An account is optional, and each App has its own. You create one with your email address in the App (in Readino, Settings → Account; in DinoPlay, the grown-ups area, then Account) or, for Readino, by logging in with the email you used to subscribe on our website. We log you in with a one-time link or code sent to that address.
- An account is for one household. It can be logged in on a limited number of devices at a time (up to two, for Readino), and a new device can take the place of another a limited number of times a month. We may change these limits and will tell you in the App.
- Keep access to your email address secure: anyone who can read it can log in to your account. Please do not share your account with people outside your household.
- You can delete your account at any time in the App (in Readino, Settings → Account → Delete account; in DinoPlay, the grown-ups area, then Account → Delete account) or at dinominds.com/delete-account, which explains how for each App. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play; see section 3.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Subscription required: each App's content needs an active subscription to that App, and a subscription to one App does not include another. The plans and prices are shown before you buy.
- In the App: subscriptions bought in an App are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and belong to your store account. You can restore them on another device signed in to the same store account with the App's restore option ("Restore Purchase" in Readino), or, if you log in to your account, use them on your other devices.
- On our website: today only Readino is sold on our website. Subscriptions bought at get.dinominds.com/readino are processed by Stripe. For these purchases Link, a Stripe company, is the seller of record: it charges you, handles taxes and refunds, and its terms also apply. To use your subscription in the App, log in with the email address you used to buy it. DinoPlay is sold only in the App Store and Google Play.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If an introductory price or free trial is offered, it becomes a regular subscription at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancel App Store and Google Play subscriptions in your device's store settings. Cancel Readino website subscriptions from the link we email you when you choose "Manage subscription" in the App (Settings → Account), or by writing to us. Deleting your Readino account also stops a website subscription from renewing.
- Refunds: refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Refunds for website purchases are handled by Link. We do not process refunds directly.
- Your rights: nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
4. User Conduct and Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of an App or the content of the Services.
- Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
- Resell, rent, sublicense or share access to the Services or to your account with others outside your household.
- Interfere with the systems behind the Services, get around their limits or security, or access them with automated means.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
The lessons, stories, toys, illustrations, characters, music, audio and software in the Services belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to them beyond the license in section 1.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the extent the law allows. While our Apps are designed to support learning, such as learning to read in Readino, we make no guarantees regarding specific educational outcomes or advancements in your child's reading level or other skills. We do not guarantee that the Services will be error-free or always available.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DinoMinds (Héctor Ullate) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; or (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may suspend or end your access, or your account, if you break these Terms. You may stop at any time by deleting your account, cancelling your subscription and deleting the App.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our Services change, for example when we add a new App. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you in the App or by email. If you keep using the Services after a change, the new Terms apply.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
